Phoenix needs the following permissions:

* Camera access

This allows scanning a Bitcoin adress or a Lightning payment request.

* Network access

Phoenix requires full network access in order to:

  - connect to the Bitcoin network (through Electrum servers);
  - fetch data such as the current bitcoin price from various public APIs (Coindesk, Bitgo...) which are not operated by ACINQ;
  - access to the Lightning network.

Bitcoin and the Lightning Network are decentralized and no server will hold data that could directly identify you.
